Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 May 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Snoozie (operated by Prashant Bhagchandani, Hyderabad, Telangana, India — referred to as "Snoozie", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Telegram bot and website (bedtime-bot.vercel.app, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
1. Information we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to operate the Service:
- Telegram account information: your Telegram user ID and first name, automatically provided by Telegram when you message our bot.
- Kid profile information: the name, age, and interests you voluntarily provide via the SETUP command. This is used to personalize the bedtime stories generated for your child.
- Story usage data: a count of stories generated, with dates, used to enforce subscription limits.
- Story memory data: named characters, places, and themes that appeared in past stories, stored so future stories can reference them and create continuity for your child.
- Subscription information: if you upgrade to a paid plan, our payment processor (currently Cashfree Payments India Pvt Ltd) handles your payment and shares with us only the subscription status (active / cancelled / expired) and renewal dates. We do not see or store your card or bank details.
- Waitlist email: if you submit your email on the landing page, we store it solely to notify you when the WhatsApp version of Snoozie launches.
- Server logs: standard request metadata (timestamps, IP address, user-agent) handled by our hosting provider (Vercel) for basic operations and abuse prevention.
We do not collect: payment card details, location data, contacts, photos, microphone or camera input, or any information about your child beyond what you voluntarily provide via SETUP.
2. How we use this information
- To generate personalized bedtime stories for your child
- To enforce subscription limits fairly
- To send you transactional messages (e.g. subscription activation confirmations) via Telegram
- To send you a one-time notification when the WhatsApp version launches, if you joined the waitlist
- To diagnose bugs and prevent abuse
We do not use your information for advertising, sell it to third parties, or train AI models on your data.
3. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on the following systems:
- Supabase (Postgres database, hosted on Amazon Web Services, typically AWS Mumbai or AWS Singapore region): kid profiles, story memories, story usage counts, subscription state, and waitlist emails.
- Vercel (serverless function hosting, US/EU regions): handles your incoming Telegram messages and runs the bot logic. No persistent data is stored on Vercel.
4. Sub-processors
To deliver the Service we share specific data with the following third-party processors:
- Anthropic (anthropic.com): we send your kid's profile information and story prompts to Claude, Anthropic's AI, to generate stories. Anthropic does not retain this data for training and processes it in accordance with their own privacy policy.
- OpenAI (openai.com): we send the generated story text to OpenAI's text-to-speech service, which produces the voice note audio. OpenAI does not retain this data for training.
- Cashfree Payments India Pvt Ltd(cashfree.com): handles all subscription payments and stores card / UPI / banking details on their PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure. We never see your payment instrument details.
- Telegram (telegram.org): the transport channel between you and our bot. Standard Telegram messaging applies.
5. Data retention
We retain your data only as long as needed to provide the Service:
- Kid profile data is retained until you delete it via the
/resetTelegram command, which removes all your kid profiles immediately. - Story memories can be removed individually via
/forget [name]or all at once via/reset. - Subscription history is retained per Indian tax law (currently 8 years for accounting records).
- Waitlist emails are retained until you ask us to remove yours (email us at the address below) or until we discontinue the WhatsApp waitlist feature, whichever is sooner.
6. Children's privacy
Snoozie is designed for use by parents, who in turn share the bedtime stories with their children. Children do not interact with the Service directly and we do not knowingly collect data from children. Parents who use Snoozie are responsible for the information they share about their children (name, age, interests).
We treat children-related information with care: profile data is used only to personalize stories, is never used for advertising, and can be deleted at any time via the /reset command.
